Brass for Africa: Training Centre in Kampala, Uganda

We have recently been involved in a project with Brass for Africa, whereby 140 donated musical instruments required packing and delivery to their training centre in Kampala, Uganda.

Part of our duty working with this wonderful charity is down to our logistical knowledge of customs requirements. It can sometimes be difficult to clear customs when the contents are of different materials, shapes and sizes. We used our expertise to ensure that this order was delivered in full and on time to the training centre. In the past, Brass for Africa has been challenged by capacity, workload, logistics and effort required to package and deliver a huge number of instruments.

“Please do not underestimate the huge value to us of the practical support of your company and the can-do attitude of your colleagues. These instruments are vital to our operation as we strive to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised children and young people in the world through music education and life skills training.” Says Brass for Africa Director Jim Trott

Pictured are the staff opening the boxes full of instruments. You can see the excitement and happiness of the team as they started unpacking the boxes in Kampala.

Donations of any playable brass instruments are always welcome, if you think you can help, please get in touch.
