Business Development Manager

A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Business Development Manager to join the Sales team (approx. 25 hours per week). We would consider term time and/or flexible hours with a pro-rated salary and benefits package so this would be a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a job to fit their lifestyle.

The main focus of the role requires you to be responsible for identifying and maximising sales opportunities from our different product lines, winning business by establishing and maintaining a wide contacts network, as well as designing winning business solutions to secure tenders and bids that meet and exceed potential clients’ needs. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they can engage with key business decision-makers to increase sales potential and overall profitability, and can show a successful sales record where you achieved or over achieved targets and objectives set.

You will ideally have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Developing and implementing business winning initiatives to achieve Company sales within appropriate sectors i.e. IT, Training, Printing, Publishing, Marketing or related sectors.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Developing and managing partner opportunities.
  • Increasing, identifying and qualifying market intelligence by defining appropriate market sectors, sizes of opportunity and types of solutions to help develop new sales strategies, products and services to augment our current services and help market penetration.
  • Preparing, submitting and following up bids, quotations, and proposals to secure all new business for the Company, and look to increase levels of customer enquiry and the number of RTFs.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of winning business and new market development within appropriate sectors i.e. IT, Training, Print, etc, preparing bids and proposals, and engaging with key decision makers. You must also be self-motivated, innovative, highly focused, proactive and driven, with excellent commercial flair and strong social and networking skills, and relish the challenge of attaining and surpassing set goals, target revenue and KPIs. You must also be able to demonstrate exemplary organisation and time management skills, the ability to work on your own initiative seeing projects through to conclusion; the ability to research, produce and analyse data to identify trends and make recommendations through verbal and written reports, presentations and proposals; and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM and the Internet.

A pro-rated competitive salary is offered, to include commission and car allowance.
