The Best Business Awards 2011 aim to highlight and reward excellence across the private and public sectors. KnowledgePoint has been voted by an independent panel of judges as winner of Best Innovation. This category seeks to highlight organisations that have identified new products or services and successfully brought them to market. Entrants had to clearly demonstrate that there was a demand for the innovation and that the innovation has proved successful in line with the objectives set. KnowledgePoint's entry centred on revolutionising variable data publishing in the education sector with a technology development which provides a cross platform, customised, variable digital print service. Commenting on the Best Innovation Award for KnowledgePoint Ltd, Andrew Areoff, Chairman of the Judges, said: "KnowledgePoint has revolutionised the publication of material in the education sector, such as university prospectuses, by creating an unique online process which allows a fully bespoke, on-demand service. This means for instance that prospective students can create their own individually-tailored prospectus, available to download and/or receive in the post. This is a stunning example of best innovation with many advantages both for the end user, and the customer who commissions the service. Top marks go to KnowledgePoint for developing a major advance in publishing technology." Says Paul Gibbons, co-founder and Director of KnowledgePoint: "We are delighted to have merited this prestigious award. It's always rewarding to be recognised as a contender in business innovation and excellence." |
