| The die has been cast, and PrintWeek's expert panel of print buyers has whittled down the PrintWeek Awards 2009 entries to a shortlist of just 71 companies across all categories. KnowledgeCast is a Finalist in the category SME Company of the Year. Over three separate judging days, judges from companies such as Dennis Publishing, Emap Inform, Grant Thornton, The National Gallery, Penguin, RSPCA, Telegraph Media Group and Tesco scrutinised more than two hundred submissions to come up with a shortlist that truly represents the best that British print has to offer. "All 26 judges were all genuinely impressed with the standard of entries, illustrated by the fact that some actually asked if they could keep some of the entries for future reference," said PrintWeek editor and chair of the judging panel Darryl Danielli. "It's fantastic to note that the level and quality of entries were so high, especially when you consider the economic climate, but once again the strength of entries proves that now, more than ever, print really does have cause for celebrating all that is great about the industry." Says Paul Gibbons, co-founder and Director of KnowledgeCast, "It is a fantastic compliment to the business and proves the worth of our focus to achieve continuous improvement by constantly innovating IT solutions, developing digital print technology and improving internal working practices to improve the customer experience by driving more customer benefits."
