Bringing learning to life for everyone with knowledge to share.

Euroskills Budapest – 26th to 28th September 2018

Liz Littler and Daniel Hernandez-Randall from KnowledgePoint Connect hosted a booth at this years’ Euroskills, welcoming a total of 80,000 visitors over three days, in co-operation with ATC Partner 3D Home from Hungary and Baker Hicks, a multi-disciplinary design and engineering company, show-casing the latest Autodesk technologies to enthusiastic visitors at the exhibition.

3D Home showcased Fusion 360 where examples of the designs created the were printed on an Ultimaker 3D-printer. 3D Home also displayed several items which had previously been 3D-printed and were much admired by the students. The ATC used the exhibition to promote their range of Fusion 360 and 3D-printing courses and were grateful to KnowledgePoint Connect for offering them this opportunity to reach their target audience.

“Thank you for sharing and a huge congratulations to the team on this work; WorldSkills Europe looked fantastic through social media and your report really confirmed that”

Matthew Bell, Head of Global Strategic Alliances, Autodesk

Of even more interest to the many visitors (approximately 200 per day) were the VR and AR technologies showcased by Baker Hicks. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to try out the VR Oculus Rift and Hololens headsets moving about and interacting with designs created in Autodesk Revit Architecture. They were delighted to learn about and experience augmented and virtual reality first hand.

In terms of parties involved, the actual setup of our booth was also something which proved of great use in terms of showcasing how Autodesk software is employed across a vast spectrum of markets. Whether on commercial training, academic training, or as a core component of Design, BIM, 3D-printing or AR/VR solutions, the varied background/knowledge of our staff helped us offer a wide and dynamic range of professional expertise in six different languages.

The KnowledgePoint Connect team also met with World Skills experts from Germany and one of the oldest universities in Hungary (Pecs) who are interested in the Autodesk AAP program and we look forward to developing these relationships further over the coming months.
